Slightly longer

After discussions with some people who wish to produce their shows for different audience time-zones we’ve extended the festival by a week.

It will now run from 14 August to 7 September.

Ironically our initial plan was to do 3 weeks but to give more time for development we shifted the start date. Wish we’d shifted the end date at the same time.

Virtual Busking

We don’t know how to do it yet, but if possible we’d like to include busking in the festival.

Because of busking’s ephemeral and hectic nature, it probably won’t be a good fit for a site promoting an entire festival so we’ve created a related site Virtual-Busking.com especially for busking once we know how to do it. For now it allows potential buskers to let us know they’d like to be notified either of progress or when we go live.

Save The Dates

We’ve chosen the dates for the festival. 14th to August to 7th September 2020. That’s New Zealand Time, so it might be the 13th for you depending on your timezone.

We’ll start taking entries on the 11th or 12th of June.

See you there.

NB: An earlier version of this post had a different end date.

Planning Survey

We’re very keen to go ahead with our open access live streamed fringe festival but first need to know what creatives and audiences need and want from a virtual fringe. We’ve created a brief survey, the answers to which will directly shape the festival.

Please take 5 to 10 minutes completing it so we know your thoughts.
